The Artists Against Antisemitism are honored to announce the First Annual Yom HaShoah Community Arts Project. We’re inviting artists from all backgrounds and mediums to contribute a work of art in response to a prompt that captures the resiliency of the Jewish people in honor of Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. The artwork will be displayed in a virtual gallery and on our Instagram page throughout the month of May for Jewish Heritage month. Keep reading to learn more about important dates and how to submit your artwork that commemorates the Holocaust, celebrates Judaism and/or takes a stand against antisemitism.

What you need to know:

WHAT KIND OF ART ARE WE TALKING ABOUT? (Almost) anything goes! Paintings. Drawings. Poetry. Photography. Music. Spoken Word Poetry. A Monologue. Jewelry. Culinary Art. 6-word-story. 18-word-story. Flash fiction*. Personal Essay*. Collage. Textiles. Mixed media. Digital art. Sculpture. Etc. (*please keep any writing submissions less than 750 words.)

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ART? Art must be uploaded via the form below by Wednesday, April 25th.

WHERE WILL THE ART BE ON DISPLAY? The virtual gallery will go live via our website at www.theartistsagainstantisemitism.com on May 1st in advance of Yom HaShoah on May 5th. It will remain up throughout the month of May for Jewish Heritage Month. We’ll also be displaying select pieces on our Instagram account, @theartistsagainstantisemitism.

THE FINE PRINT: Artists Against Antisemitism reserves the right to only include submissions that align with the mission of this project: to commemorate the Holocaust, celebrate Judaism and/or take a stand against antisemitism.
