Our team has been hard at work, and we have some exciting updates to share about a few new partnerships and the return of our Community Arts Project in honor of Jewish American Heritage Month—plus a short survey that will help us continue to grow as an organization.

Let’s dive right in:

We are thrilled to announce a brand new partnership with Jewish Women’s International, Read with JWI x AAA.

Every other month, we’ll host a virtual talk with a featured Jewish author whose book falls under our 2026 theme, Hineini: Voices of Resilience and Resistance.

This program will create a space for reflection, conversation, and community around literature, celebrating and lifting up Jewish authors in the face of rising antisemitism.

Our first selection is Ruptured, a collection of 36 essays by Jewish women from Australia about life after October 7th, edited by Lee Kofman and Tamar Paluch.

Join us Thursday, March 5 from 8-9pm ET via Zoom for a conversation with the editors and Erika Dreifus. Erika is a Jewish author, literary advocate, and one of our board members!

This May marks our third annual Community Arts Project, and we would love to showcase your work in our virtual gallery.

Our theme for this year, l’dor v’dor—from generation to generation—honors Jewish identity across generations and feels especially relevant during Jewish American Heritage Month and the America 250 celebration.

We’re accepting artwork between now and April 15, 2026. Learn more here about the theme, what kind of art we’re looking for, submission guidelines and everything else you need to know.

This past December, we were invited to take part in a pilot initiative organized by the European Practitioners Network Against Antisemitism (EPNA) to expand their network beyond Europe. After learning about the organization and their initiatives, The Artists Against Antisemitism was honored to accept their invitation to join as an official member.

This affiliation will allow us to access workshops and virtual check-ins with EPNA member organizations around the globe and apply for grant funding within the network. We’re grateful to EPNA for this recognition of our work and are excited to be joining the global fight against antisemitism.

Hopefully you’re already familiar with On Being Jewish Now, the book of essays edited by Zibby Owens, who is generously donating profits from the book to The Artists Against Antisemitism.

We’re excited to share that The Braid has selected eleven essays from the book to adapt for the stage (including an essay from our founder and co-President, Alison Hammer).

The Braid is taking the performance on the road with shows throughout California starting at the end of March. There will also be virtual performances on April 16 and April 19. Learn more and get your tickets today!

The Jewish Institute for Television & Cinema (JITC) is launching a new program for Jewish screenwriters. Each session of the program will allow participants to engage with Jewish texts and follow writing prompts to generate story ideas. The collective is open to Writers Guild of America members in good standing who are passionate about Jewish storytelling. (Hurry! The application deadline is March 1.)

The Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL) is hosting two virtual events with the candidates for the American Library Association (ALA)’s president-elect. These forums, which are open to the public, will focus on matters of special interest to AJL members, including issues around antisemitism. A Q&A session will be part of each event.
